About You
We’re looking for a dynamic and skilled Content Marketing Specialist to join our team. You should have a passion for creating compelling B2B content and a knack for storytelling that aligns with our mission and values. If you thrive in a role where you handle diverse writing tasks—ranging from newsletters and social media posts to website content and community engagement—we want to hear from you.
Your expertise in content creation, SEO, and social media, combined with your ability to adapt and learn new tools quickly, will be key to your success in this role. Experience in the social enterprise or NGO sector is a plus, as it aligns with our commitment to making a positive impact. The three areas where you will contribute are:
B2B Storytelling: Shared impactful success stories and case studies that resonate with our audience and showcase our organization's strengths and mission.
Content Production: Efficiently produced and published a robust amount of content, meeting deadlines and maintaining a steady flow of posts and updates.
Content Accuracy and Quality: Consistently delivered high-quality, error-free content that maintains our brand's voice and engages our audience.
Fast forward 1 year. Here’s what we believe a successful Content Marketing Specialist would have accomplished:
Launched a B2B newsletter on Human Capabilities & the Future of Work
Continuously experiment ultimately getting it to 1,000 subscribers
Grow the impact of the CEO and/or company's LinkedIn pages from 1,000 to 5,000 followers
Key Responsibilities:
Content Production
Develop, write, and edit B2B content for newsletters, social media posts, website articles, and community engagement pieces.
Ensure all written content is proofread and edited, maintaining high standards of grammar and style.
Maintain consistency in style, tone, and branding across all content.
Planning and scheduling content to ensure consistent engagement via a content calendar.
Design basic visual content to accompany written materials, ensuring cohesive and engaging presentations.
Storytelling
Research industry trends, audience preferences, and competitor activities to inform content strategy.
Develop compelling stories highlighting the organization’s impact, strengths, and mission.
Ensure all content is engaging, informative, and aligned with the organization’s values.
Collaborate with the team to meet other stakeholder requirements such as fundraising.
Community Management
Engaging with the audience: Responding to comments, messages, and questions promptly.
Building relationships: Interacting with followers and potential customers to foster connections.
Managing employee advocacy: Encouraging employees to share company content and engage with the page.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of writing experience and B2B content creation, especially in LinkedIn posts and newsletters.
Strong grammar and writing skills, with the ability to write quickly and accurately.
Ability to write compelling stories and effectively communicate our mission and impact.
Experience in the social enterprise or NGO sector is preferred.
Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new tools and platforms.
